Job summary

ST Engineering Marine Ltd in Singapore is seeking a Mechanical Technician to lead a small team responsible for rectifications of engine systems onboard ships. You will oversee delivery of defects and participate in acceptance tests for overhauled equipment.

Requirements include NTC/Higher NTC in Mechanical/Marine/Automotive, 1–2 years’ relevant experience, and proficiency with hand tools such as micrometer, bore gauge and torque wrench.

Qualifications

• Lead a team for rectifications of engine systems on ships.
• Deliver defects and ensure timely completion.
• Troubleshoot mechanical defects and perform repairs.
• Dismantle and replace mechanical spare parts; test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team for rectifications of Engine's system / Equipment onboard ships.
• Responsible for delivery of job defects.
• Conduct Acceptance tests / trial of overhauled and/or repaired equipment.
• Conduct trouble shooting of defects on mechanical system / equipment onboard ships
• Carry out general repair and maintenance jobs onboard vessels or in workshops
• Dismantle and troubleshoot for mechanical defects
• Perform repair and /or replacement of mechanical spare parts
• Perform alignment checks and reassemble the mechanical parts
• Perform testing of equipment to ensure smooth operation
• Perform test run and report to superior on the job completion status
