We are partnering with a global leader in marine technology to appoint an experienced Marine Engines Engineer, particularly in 2 and 4 stroke engines, based in Singapore.
This is a highly specialised position for an experienced marine engineer with strong hands-on expertise in low-speed 2-stroke engines and medium-speed 4-stroke engines, combining complex field-service troubleshooting with technical leadership and customer support.
The Role The successful candidate will operate in a dual capacity as both aTroubleshooter and Technical Expert, supporting complex engine cases, major repairs and technical enquiries across the region.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead field-service teams on complex2-stroke or 4-stroke engine troubleshooting, overhaul, repair and maintenanceassignments.
- Attend vessels for urgent, technically challenging and emergency engine cases.
- Diagnose and resolve complex operating and performance issues involving2-stroke or 4-stroke main engines and associated systems.
- Lead major repair activities, root-cause investigations and development of repair procedures.
- Provide technical guidance on spare parts, service drawings and engine maintenance requirements.
- Evaluate engine performance and troubleshoot engine control systems, includingWECS, UNIC and WICE.
- Prepare technical analyses, recommendations and reports for customers and internal stakeholders.
- Handle complex customer technical enquiries and act as the technical lead during customer discussions.
- Support audits and identify opportunities for additional service and lifecycle solutions.
- Analyse field experience and customer feedback to support product and service improvements.
- Coach and mentor Field Service Engineers and less experienced technical specialists.
- Support continuous development of technical competence and best practices within the 2-stroke or 4-stroke engine organisation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree inMarine Engineering, Mechanical Engineeringor another relevant technical discipline.
- Minimum 3+ years of direct experience working with either 2-stroke or 4-stroke marine engines, their controls and associated technologies.
- Strong hands-on experience in2-stroke or 4-stroke engine troubleshooting, inspection, overhaul, repair and maintenance.
- Experience withX-DF, WICE and/or other 2-stroke gas engine technologieswill be highly advantageous.
- Familiarity with electronic engine control systems such asWECS, WICE and UNICis advantageous.
- Strong understanding of marine engines, propulsion systems and vessel operations.
- Ability to conduct root-cause analysis and resolve technically complex engine problems independently.
- Strong customer-facing and communication skills.
- Fluent spoken and written English.
- Comfortable working internationally and travelling for vessel attendance when required.
