Job summary

Pratt & Whitney, an RTX business, seeks a skilled Wire-EDM Operator to set up, operate and maintain EDM/CMM equipment in our SG manufacturing site. The role requires hands-on execution, strict adherence to procedures and a focus on quality and safety.

You will work permanent night shifts with overtime as needed, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and support continuous improvement initiatives to uphold CORE excellence.

Qualifications

• NITEC in Precision, Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 2 years of EDM/CMM operation and maintenance experience.
• Willing to work permanent night shift and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and maintain Wire-EDM machines.
• Perform simple troubleshooting of machines.
• Read and follow established procedures and SOPs.
• Perform risk assessment and take corrective actions as well as preventive measures.
• Maintain day to day 6S lean activities to create a safe work environment.
• Work cross functional to support the various manufacturing processes.
• Participate in the EH&S programs and takes personal responsibility to ensure safety adherence.
• Support the continuous improvement programs, CORE activities and additional tasks assigned by the supervisor.

What You Will Do

• Set up, operate and maintain Wire-EDM Machines

Qualifications You Must Have

• NITEC in Precision, Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 2 years of relevant experience in EDM / CMM machine Operation and Maintenance experience.
• 2 years of relevant experience in Manufacturing, Precision Engineering or Machining.
• Comfortable with hands‑on work to operate with the tools and equipment.
• Ability to understand basic technical instructions and standard operation procedures (SOP).
• Meticulous with an eye for details and adopts a hands‑on approach.
• Willing to work permanent night shift and overtime on need basis.

Qualifications We Prefer

• EDM machining skills and knowledge.
• Relevant experience in operating CMM measurement machines.
• Relevant aerospace, manufacturing or precision engineering experience.
