Job summary

Pratt & Whitney is seeking a skilled technician to set-up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC/CMM machines at their Singapore facility. Candidates should have at least one year's relevant experience, preferably in the aviation sector.

Job description

Pratt & Whitney, an RTX business, is a world leader in the design, manufacture and service of aircraft engines and auxiliary power units for commercial, military, and business aircraft. The position is located at 51 Seletar Aerospace View, Singapore.

What You Will Do

• Set-up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC/CMM machines, including the ability to perform tool setup for CNC milling processes.
• Specialize in operating CNC 5‑axis machinery and conduct basic troubleshooting of machines.
• Execute hands‑on tasks such as manual polishing and media finishing.
• Read and follow established procedures and work instructions.
• Interpret basic blueprints.
• Assess the risk of activities and take corrective and preventive actions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional areas.
• Maintain day‑to‑day 6S activities.
• Comply with the UTC Code of Ethics and Export Regulation.
• Support and participate in EH&S, Quality, and ACE activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum GCE ’O’ level or equivalent.
• Diploma or NITEC in Precision, Aerospace, or Mechanical Engineering is advantageous.
• Minimum one year of relevant working experience in machining/CMM, preferably in the aviation industry; other manufacturing/MRO companies are also considered.
• Training on the job will be provided.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Willingness to work permanent 2nd or 3rd shift.
