Job summary

RTX’s Pratt & Whitney unit in Singapore is hiring a Wire-EDM operator. You will set up, operate and maintain EDM machines, read procedures, and perform basic troubleshooting while supporting lean and EH&S initiatives.

Ideal candidates have NITEC in precision or related fields and at least 2 years in EDM/CMM machining, with a hands-on, meticulous approach and willingness to work permanent night shifts and overtime as required.

Qualifications

• NITEC in Precision, Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 2 years of EDM / CMM machine operation and maintenance experience.
• 2 years of experience in manufacturing, precision engineering or machining.
• Able to work hands-on with tools and equipment.
• Understand basic technical instructions and SOPs.
• Meticulous with attention to detail and hands-on approach.
• Willing to work permanent night shift and overtime as needed.

What You Will Do

Qualifications You Must Have

• NITEC in Precision, Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 2 years of relevant experience in EDM / CMM machine Operation and Maintenance experience.
• 2 years of relevant experience in Manufacturing, Precision Engineering or Machining.
• Comfortable with hands‑on work to operate with the tools and equipment.
• Ability to understand basic technical instructions and standard operation procedures (SOP).
• Meticulous with an eye for details and adopts a hands‑on approach.
• Willing to work permanent night shift and overtime on need basis.

Qualifications We Prefer

• EDM machining skills and knowledge.
• Relevant experience in operating CMM measurement machines.
• Relevant aerospace, manufacturing or precision engineering experience.
