Job summary

Coherent Corp. in Singapore is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to support diverse operations in a cleanroom environment. You will perform setup, calibration, rework, and quality testing on components and assemblies, while collecting data for on-line adjustments.

You will collaborate with engineers to optimize processes, run experiments, and implement improvements. This role requires a flexible, safety-conscious professional ready for three shift hours onsite.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering or equivalent required.
• Experience in a cleanroom environment and strict adherence to policies.

Responsibilities

Job description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform tasks associated with all manufacturing operations, including setup, calibration, rework, and quality testing for parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies.

• Utilize advanced software programs to collect and analyze operating data for on-line adjustments to products, instruments, or equipment.

• Collaborate with engineers to determine and develop methods and procedures to optimize and control manufacturing processes.

• Work closely with engineers to conduct experiments and implement process improvements.

• Participate in abnormality detection to identify and resolve issues in production processes promptly.

• Drive improvements in production yield, scrap reduction, and Out-of-Box Quality (OBQ) performance.

• Contribute Kaizen ideas and actively engage in Small Group Activities (SGA) to support continuous improvement initiatives.

• Participate in 6S activities to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.

Education & Experience

• A Diploma in Engineering or its equivalents with at least 2 years of relevant work experience in Manufacturing.

• Comfortable working in a cleanroom environment and adhering strictly to policies and procedures.

• Demonstrated commitment to good housekeeping and safety practices in the workplace.

• Hands-on experience with sub-assemblies, soldering, and handling chemical solutions.

• Ability to manage chemical solutions effectively during the cleaning process.

• Flexibility to work shift hours

Working Conditions

• This role is 100% onsite

• 3 shifts (7am to 3.30pm, 3pm to 11pm, 11pm to 7am)
