Job summary

Sanmina-SCI Systems Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to drive NPI transfers and launch new products. You will perform DFM analyses, design and establish manufacturing processes, and manage BOMs and routings in ERP/MES systems.

The role requires strong problem-solving, cross-functional collaboration, and experience with PCBA/TLA processes. You will mentor staff and ensure IPC standards and EHS guidelines are followed to achieve KPI targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or equivalent).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in process engineering preferred.
• Certification or formal training in IPC standards or Lean Six Sigma preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of PCBA and TLA manufacturing processes preferred.
• Familiarity with box build operations.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to overcome operational constraints.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with other departments.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• NPI Execution: Execute product transfers and the launch of New Product Introductions (NPI) from customers.
• DFM: Conduct Design for Manufacturability (DFM) analysis to improve product manufacturability.
• Process Development: Design and establish product manufacturing processes.
• System Setup: Create and maintain the BOM and production routings in the ERP/MES system.
• Tooling: Liaise with tooling vendors to design and fabricate tooling or fixtures.
• Documentation: Create and maintain SOPs and WIs for the production team.
• Training: Train production staff on new processes, tools, and equipment.
• Standards Compliance: Ensure processes and equipment comply with IPC standards and internal quality protocols.
• Process Monitoring: Monitor process yields to meet KPIs.
• Technical Problem Solving: Lead resolution of production bottlenecks and complex issues.
• Line Balancing: Conduct time studies and balance lines to optimize cycle time.
• Continuous Improvement: Improve manufacturing process yields per KPIs.
• ECO/ECN: Implement engineering changes to customer products.
• Customer Presentations: Present product performance to customers.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure operations comply with EHS guidelines.
• Mentorship: Support development of engineering assistants.
• General Support: Perform other duties as assigned.

• Process Monitoring: Constantly monitor process yields, ensuring they meet company KPIs.
• Technical Problem Solving: Act as the technical lead to resolve production bottlenecks and complex process issues in real-time.
• Line Balancing: Conduct time studies and line balancing to optimize cycle time and improve labor efficiency.
• Continuous Improvement: Improve product manufacturing process yields per company quality KPIs.
• ECO/ECN: Conduct and implement engineering changes to customer products.
• Customer Presentations: Conduct product performance presentations to customers.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure all manufacturing processes and floor operations comply with company Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) guidelines.
• Mentorship: Support the development of engineering assistants through technical knowledge sharing.
• General Support: Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Manufacturing Engineer.
