Job summary

TALENT TRADER GROUP PTE. LTD. is seeking a skilled precision engineering professional in Singapore to interpret mechanical drawings, plan fabrication workflows, and drive improvements in machining and metal fabrication.

You will generate Process Route Cards and work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and on-time production. Requirements include a Diploma or Degree in Precision Machining or Mechanical Engineering, at least 3 years of experience in a precision engineering environment,

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in precision machining or mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a precision engineering environment.
• Proficiency with CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks, MasterCAM or HyperMill.

Responsibilities

• Interpret mechanical engineering drawings to plan fabrication workflows and generate Process Route Cards / Job Travellers.
• Oversee and optimize machining and metal fabrication processes to manufacture complex precision parts.
• Analyze process yields, production rates, and efficiency to propose improvements and cost-reduction strategies.
• Lead cross-functional activities to investigate manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions.
• Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) and production transitions.
• Ensure process enhancements uphold quality standards while increasing throughput.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Interpret mechanical engineering drawings to plan fabrication workflows, select standard components, and generate Process Route Cards / Job Travellers.
• Oversee and optimize machining and metal fabrication processes to manufacture complex precision parts.
• Analyze process yields, production rates, and operational efficiency to propose capability improvements and cost-reduction strategies.
• Lead cross-functional activities to investigate manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions.
• Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI), manufacturing reviews, production transitions, and standard work updates.
• Ensure all process enhancements uphold strict quality standards while increasing production throughput.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Precision Machining, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a precision engineering environment.
• Familiarity with machining (milling, turning, grinding) and fabrication processes (sheet metal work, welding, surface treatment).
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks, MasterCAM, or HyperMill.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities applied to manufacturing processes.
• Disciplined, systematic approach to tasks with proficiency in basic computer software.
