Job summary

CHONG FONG ENGINEERING PTE LTD in Singapore is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to interpret drawings, prepare BOM/OOF for fabrication, and generate production routes. Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Interpret mechanical drawings and prepare the Project Order Overview Form (OOF), Bill of Materials (BOM) for fabrication, and select appropriate OEM parts.

• To generate Process Management Plan or Production Route Card / Job Traveller

• Troubleshoot manufacturing process issues and drive problem-solving to root cause.

• Work closely with the production team (fabrication, machining and assembly) on technical and process matters.

• Propose alternative solutions when process problems arise, balancing quality, cost and lead time.

• Liaise with customers on technical issues and clarifications.

QUALIFICATION

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification

• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a precision engineering environment.

• Working knowledge of metal fabrication processes (welding, sheet-metal work, surface treatment, etc.).

• Familiar with metal fabrication processes like welding, sheetmetal work, surface treatment etc.

• Proficiency in mechanical CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, GstarCAD).

• Strong Excel skills.

• A disciplined, systematic approach and a positive working attitude.
