Job summary

NOVA-TECH MFG PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a Welding Process Engineer to develop, standardize, and optimize welding and production processes across manufacturing lines.

You will prepare and maintain engineering documents, design welding processes and fixtures, and provide technical support to the manufacturing team. The role involves establishing process control systems, supporting NPI changes, and collaborating with Engineering, Production, and Quality to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Welding Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline.
• 1–2 years of welding process engineering or manufacturing experience.
• Familiar with NPI processes and engineering change management.
• Knowledge of PFMEA, engineering documentation, and process control methodologies.
• Proficient in SolidWorks for basic 3‑D modeling and 2‑D drawings.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Able to work independently and communicate with cross‑functional teams.
• Experience in semiconductor or precision engineering is highly preferred.
• Willing to work at East Region, Changi North Crescent

Responsibilities

• Support production via fixture improvements, troubleshooting, and process optimization.
• Investigate welding defects and implement CAPA.
• Support NPI activities and engineering change implementation.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Quality, and cross-functional teams.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties assigned by Supervisor.

• Prepare, review, and maintain engineering documents, including OMS, SOP, WI, WPS, PQR, and WPQ.

• Design welding processes, select appropriate welding consumables/materials, and provide technical support to manufacturing.

• Establish and improve process control systems and manufacturing workflows.

• Design welding fixtures, jigs, and tooling to improve productivity, quality, and repeatability.

• Support production through fixture improvements, troubleshooting, and process optimization.

• Investigate welding defects and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

• Support NPI (New Product Introduction) activities and engineering change implementation.

• Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Quality, and other cross-functional teams.

• Perform any other ad-hoc duties assigned by the Supervisor.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Welding Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline.

• 1-2 years of relevant working experience in welding process engineering or manufacturing.

• Familiar with NPI processes and engineering change management.

• Knowledge of PFMEA, engineering documentation, and process control methodologies.

• Proficient in SolidWorks for basic 3‑D modeling and 2‑D manufacturing drawing generation.

• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.

• Able to work independently and communicate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
