This role focuses on factory costing, standard costing, month-end closes, budgeting, and compliance with US GAAP/SOX. The ideal candidate has strong Excel skills and a collaborative mindset to help improve processes.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of factory costing and standard costing methods.
• Experience with cost accounting, variance analysis, month-end close, and financial reporting.
• Strong analytical skills and Excel proficiency.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Interpersonal and collaboration skills across functions.

Responsibilities

• Perform cost accounting activities, including standard cost updates and variance analysis.
• Prepare monthly journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Develop monthly management reports to support decision-making.
• Participate in quarterly business reviews and annual budgeting.
• Lead annual cost roll process and ensure data accuracy.
• Review excess and obsolete inventory reserves quarterly.
• Review warranty expenses and reserves.
• Support cycle counts, annual physical inventory, and fixed assets verification.
• Assist with Free Trade Agreement applications and renewals.
• Support annual US GAAP, SOX, and statutory audits.
• Serve as accounting contact for enterprise IT expenditure reporting.
• Support annual business insurance renewal processes.
• Contribute to special projects and process improvements.
