Job Purpose

The Managing Director is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and performance of the business operations of Eisai (Singapore) Pte Ltd and reports directly to the President of the East Asia and Global South Region.

The role has overall accountability for the development and execution of the organization’s business strategy, business and financial performance, organizational leadership, and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies, in alignment with the company’s global and regional strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the overall business operations and be accountable for its business performance.
• Develop and implement business strategy, objectives, and business plans in alignment with global and regional direction.
• Oversee business planning, budgeting, financial performance, and allocation of resources to support sustainable business growth.
• Provide overall leadership and direction to the organization and relevant business and corporate functions.
• Make and oversee key management decisions relating to business operations.
• Lead business development activities and identify opportunities for sustainable business growth.
• Build and manage the local organization and ensure an appropriate organizational structure, staffing, and talent development to support business objectives.
• Oversee relevant functions, including Sales, Marketing, Medical, Regulatory, Compliance, Finance, and other business and corporate functions as appropriate.
• Represent the organization in dealings with relevant government and regulatory authorities, healthcare organizations, business partners, distributors, industry organizations, and other external stakeholders.
• Ensure that business operations comply with applicable local laws and regulations, company policies, compliance standards, and corporate governance requirements.
• Identify and manage key business, operational, financial, and compliance risks and **escalate** significant matters to regional management as appropriate.
• Report business performance, progress against strategic objectives, key risks, and significant issues to the regional management team.
• Promote effective collaboration between the organization, the regional headquarters, and global functions to support the achievement of business objectives.
