Job summary

The Polyoilefin Company (Singapore) PTE. LTD. seeks a Senior Technical Marketing professional to translate market and customer needs into technical requirements and drive development opportunities.

You will bridge customers, the commercial team and R&D to enable successful product applications. Responsibilities include identifying market opportunities, supporting cross-functional teams, and facilitating commercialization while communicating effectively in Japanese and English with headquarters

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in a relevant scientific field.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in the chemical industry.
• Proficient communication in Japanese and English for technical discussions with headquarters and target markets.
• Demonstrates leadership, analytical and conceptual thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical bridge between customers, the commercial team and R&D.

Job Description

Technical Marketing

• Identify customer needs, new applications and technical opportunities that can be translated into product or application development.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to identify and prioritize market opportunities based on technical feasibility and commercial potential.

Technical & Application Support to Customer

• Visit customers and partners to understand their processes, applications, performance requirements and technical challenges.

Product Development & Commercialization

• Support the progression of identified themes into technical development and commercialization.
• Work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders (R&D, Manufacturing and Sales & Marketing) to facilitate successful commercialization.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Material Science/Chemistry/Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in the chemical industry.
• Able to communicate proficiently in both Japanese and English to facilitate technical discussions with the target market needs and headquarters.
• Ability to be a team player with leadership, good analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
