About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive Manager, Research to oversee and support projects under the multidisciplinary population oral health research programme at the National Dental Centre Singapore (NDCS).
The successful candidate will work closely with Principal Investigator, research teams, and external stakeholders to ensure the effective administration, coordination, and delivery of research projects.
Key responsibilities
Manage and monitor research grants to ensure funds are accurately allocated, received, and utilized in compliance with funding agencies' requirements as well as institutional policies and guidelines.
Serve as the primary liaison between Principal Investigator, research team members, and external stakeholders.
Plan and manage project budgets, monitor research milestones, and track project deliverables and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Coordinate and facilitate the submission of grant applications, grant variations and extensions, as well as research manpower forecasts and budgets.
Support Principal Investigator in preparing presentations, reports, and progress updates for funding agencies, stakeholders, and management.
Organise, facilitate, and provide secretariat and administrative support for research-related meetings, including the preparation and recording of meeting minutes.
Undertake other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
About you
Bachelor's Degree in Science or a related discipline, with at least 6 years of relevant experience in research grant administration or project management.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to learn quickly and adapt to changing priorities.
Able to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and comfortable working with various IT systems and digital tools.
