Public Service Division seeks a Manager in the Regulation Division to uphold Singapore's private education standards and ensure that Training Providers and Private Education Institutions comply with SWDA regulations, contributing to consumer protection and a skilled workforce.
The role leads regulatory and enforcement activities, conducts inspections, and reviews policies, with an emphasis on innovation and data-driven improvements to compliance tools.
As a Manager in the Regulation Division, you will be instrumental in upholding the standards of Singapore’s private education and continuing education training ecosystem. Your role will ensure that Training Providers (TPs) and Private Education Institutions (PEIs) adhere to the regulatory requirements set forth by Skills and Workforce Development Agency (SWDA).
This position is critical in maintaining the institutional quality of TPs/PEIs, reflecting our commitment to consumer protection and fostering a knowledgeable and skilled workforce.
Ensure that TPs seeking funding from SWDA meet the necessary registration and quality standards.
Regulate Private Education Institutions in line with the Private Education Act 2009 and its regulations.
Lead inspections on TPs and PEIs to confirm adherence to the Private Education Act, Regulations, and SWDA requirements.
Investigate reports of non-compliance and take appropriate enforcement actions against TPs/PEIs.
Possess the required competencies to execute the job duties proficiently
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in regulation, enforcement, investigations, or operations
Excellent writing and communication skills
A meticulous attention to detail
The ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team
Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Successful candidates will be offered a contract in the first instance and may be considered for an extension or be placed on a permanent tenure.
