Job summary

SkillsFuture Singapore Agency is seeking a Manager in the Regulation Division to uphold standards in Singapore's private education and continuing education training ecosystem. You will ensure Training Providers (TPs) and Private Education Institutions (PEIs) meet regulatory requirements set by SWDA.

Lead regulatory reviews, inspections, and enforcement actions, and drive process improvements using data analytics and AI to strengthen compliance and consumer protection.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that Training Providers (TPs) seeking SWDA funding meet registration and quality standards.
• Regulate Private Education Institutions in line with the Private Education Act 2009 and its regulations.
• Lead inspections on TPs and PEIs to confirm adherence to the Act, Regulations, and SWDA requirements.
• Investigate reports of non-compliance and take enforcement actions as needed.
• Conduct reviews of existing legislation and frameworks to keep them relevant and effective.
• Utilize AI and data analytics to innovate tools and processes for better compliance monitoring.

[What the role is]

As a Manager in the Regulation Division, you will be instrumental in upholding the standards of Singapore's private education and continuing education training ecosystem. Your role will ensure that Training Providers (TPs) and Private Education Institutions (PEIs) adhere to the regulatory requirements set forth by Skills and Workforce Development Agency (SWDA).

This position is critical in maintaining the institutional quality of TPs/PEIs, reflecting our commitment to consumer protection and fostering a knowledgeable and skilled workforce.

[What you will be working on]

Key Responsibilities:

Regulatory and Compliance

• Ensure that TPs seeking funding from SWDA meet the necessary registration and quality standards.

• Regulate Private Education Institutions in line with the Private Education Act 2009 and its regulations.

Inspection and Enforcement

• Lead inspections on TPs and PEIs to confirm adherence to the Private Education Act, Regulations, and SWDA requirements.

• Investigate reports of non-compliance and take appropriate enforcement actions against TPs/PEIs.

Policy and Framework Review

• Conduct thorough reviews of existing legislation, regulatory frameworks, and operational policies to ensure they remain relevant and effective.

Innovation and Process Enhancement

• Utilize artificial intelligence and data analytics to innovate and improve tools and processes, enhancing operational efficiency and compliance monitoring.
