MINDEF in Singapore is seeking a Meteorological Data Analyst to research and analyse weather data and generate insights for SAF operations.

You will oversee weather products, coordinate weather support, source data, and analyse trends to support planners and decision-makers. Applicants with sciences/engineering backgrounds and GIS/statistics knowledge are preferred; strong independent work and teamwork are valued.

Qualifikationen

• Education in Sciences, Mathematics, Computation, Engineering, or relevant fields.
• Possession of statistics and GIS knowledge is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

What the role is:

You are responsible for researching and analysing meteorological data to generate value-added insights for operations and manage weather support to the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF).

Challenge(s)- Having an understanding of meteorology to appreciate and determine appropriate weather information for support- Having an understanding of military weather support to administer the appropriate weather support effectively

What we are looking for:

• Education in Sciences, Mathematics, Computation, Engineering, or relevant fields
• Possession of applicable skillsets in statistics and knowledge in Geographic Information System (GIS) tools is advantageous
• Ability to work independently
• Willingness to learn
• Active team player in discussions and projects(Applicants with no experience may apply.)
