Job summary

CapitaLand is seeking a seasoned finance professional to manage private funds accounting, consolidate monthly accounts, and prepare comprehensive management and investor reports. The role requires Mandarin proficiency, 6–8 years of accounting experience, and CA/CPA qualifications.

You will coordinate forecasts, budgets, and audit processes within a dynamic real estate investment group. The position involves treasury management, regulatory reporting, and mentoring junior staff, with opportunities

Qualifications

• 6-8 years of accounting experience.
• Professional accounting qualifications such as Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
• Strong technical background, including consolidated reporting and statutory reporting experience.
• Experience in private equity real estate funds (Waterfall calculation, NAV, yields, distributions, and fund accounting).
• Highly organized and structured.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Group’s Private Funds covering real estate properties.
• Review consolidation and closing of monthly accounts of funds, joint ventures, subsidiaries and associates.
• Provide monthly/quarterly variance analysis and commentary on financial performance against budget.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual management and investors reports.
• Liaise with fund managers and treasury on monthly accounts, cashflow forecasts, quarterly forecast and annual budget.
• Coordinate, prepare and consolidate the funds forecasts and annual budget.
• Prepare consolidated audit reports, with full compliance to regulatory financial reporting standards.
• Manage treasury and cash management matters.
• Manage statutory financial statements, internal and external audits, tax filing, GST filing and MAS filing.
• Supervise junior accounting staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Group’s Private Funds covering real estate properties

• Prepare consolidated audit reports, with full compliance to the Group and Singapore regulatory financial reporting requirements and accounting standards

• Manage Treasury and cash management matters

Requirements

• 6-8 years Accounting experience

• Professional Accounting qualifications such as Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

• Strong technical background, including consolidated reporting and statutory reporting experience

• Experience in private equity real estate funds (Waterfall calculation, Net Assets Values calculations, yields, distributions, and other fund accounting)

• Highly organized and structured

• Strong level of accuracy and attention to detail

• Able to take responsibility and be accountable

• Able to work autonomously and as part of a broader team

• Liaison with Chinese stakeholders, proficiency in Mandarin is required

• Strong time management and prioritization skills

• Familiarity with IBM Cognos Controller and SAP is added advantage
