Singapore Swimming Club is seeking a Finance Manager to support the Director of Finance in overseeing the club’s financial operations, reporting, budgeting, cash flow and compliance. You will lead the finance team, drive process improvements and provide solid financial insights to guide management decisions.
The role covers payroll, fixed assets, revenue accounting and interaction with departments to improve financial performance while ensuring robust internal controls and regulatory adherence.

As the Finance Manager, you will be assisting the Director of Finance in verseeing the Club’s overall financial operations, including financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, cash flow, audit, compliance, internal controls and day-to-day accounting. The role also provides financial analysis and business insights to support management decisions, works closely with departments to manage costs and improve financial performance, oversees key areas such as payroll, fixed assets and revenue accounting, and leads the Finance team while driving process improvements and digitalisation initiatives.
Oversee the day-to-day Finance function and ensure accurate timely accounting records.
Lead the month-end closing and prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
Review financial statements,reconciliationsand accounting records for accuracy and compliance.
Analysefinancial performance against budget, forecast and previous periods, highlighting key variances and risks.
Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support business decisions.
Assistwith annual financial statements and year-end reporting.
Coordinate the annual budgeting process, including operating and capital expenditure budgets.
Work with Heads of Departments to prepare and review departmental budgets.
Prepare financial forecasts andmonitorperformance against approved budgets.
Identifyareas for cost control,efficiencyand improvement.
Monitor cash flow,liquidityand working capital to ensure the Club meets its financial obligations.
Oversee bank reconciliations,receivablesand payables.
Maintain strong internal controls, approvalprocessesand financial procedures.
Identifyfinancial risks and recommendappropriate controlsand improvements.
Coordinate the annual external audit and provide the necessary schedules and supporting documents.
Ensure timely GST, corporate tax and other statutory reporting requirements.
Liaise with auditors, taxadvisersand other professional advisers whenrequired.
Keep up to date with changes in accounting standards, taxregulationsand statutory requirements.
Review payroll reports and ensure proper reconciliation with the accounting records.
Work closely with HR on payroll-related matters.
Oversee the fixed asset register, depreciation,disposalsand impairment.
Monitor capital expenditure against approved budgets.
Monitor the financial performance of the Club’s revenue-generating activities.
Ensure proper accounting and reconciliation of membership fees,programmes, facilities, F&B,eventsand other revenue streams.
Oversee the financial aspects of Jackpot operations, including reconciliation and reporting.
Work withalldepartments to improve revenue, manage costs and minimise financial risks.
Ensure proper controls over cashcollections, refunds,discountsand other revenue transactions.
Provide management withtimelyfinancial reports,analysisand business insights.
Highlight key financial risks,opportunitiesand trends.
Support Heads of Departments with financial advice and information for decision-making.
Assist the Director of Finance with reports and presentations forManagement Committees whererequired.
Lead,superviseand develop the Finance team.
Allocate work and ensuretimelycompletion of accounting and reporting activities.
Review the team’s work to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Coach and mentor team members and support their professional development.

Identifyopportunities to improve Finance processes,controlsand efficiency.
Support automation anddigitalisationinitiatives.
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data and systems.
Work with relevant departments and system providers to resolve system issues and improve reporting.
Support the Director of Finance on financial projects,reviewsand initiatives.
Support other operational duties as assigned by the HOD or Management.
