Job summary

The Institute of Mental Health in Singapore is seeking a Manager/Assistant Manager/Senior Executive (A&A works) to lead project management of renovation initiatives within the hospital, ensuring facilities development is coordinated with clinical operations.

Reporting to Head of Facilities Development, you will manage end-to-end projects, prepare procurement documents, liaise with stakeholders, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery while supporting cross-divisional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or related architectural/engineering discipline.
• 2–3 years of project management experience in healthcare or similar sector.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end renovation project management across the full lifecycle.
• Plan procurement, prepare documents, drawings and materials.
• Conduct site rounds, evaluate, and award contracts.
• Manage contracts and construction with stakeholders.
• Deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Defect management and close-out activities.
• Assist Head in admin/secretariat duties and cross-divisional coordination.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Head.

Job Description:

The candidate reports to Head of Facilities Development, and his/her main role will be to carry out project management of renovation projects within the hospital, ensuring planning and development of facilities are properly coordinated within the hospital.

Job Responsibilities:

Lead and implement end-to-end project management across the full project lifecycle, including planning, procurement, execution, monitoring, and closure. This includes:

• Planning schedule of project from procurement to renovation works
• Preparation of procurement documents, drawings and relevant materials.
• Conduct site show round(s), evaluation, and award
• Contract and construction management, including liaising with various stakeholders
• Complete projects on time and on budget.
• Defects management
• Assist Head in other administrative/ secretariat duties and coordination works, such as preparing materials and presentation to Senior Management, facilitating cross-divisional dialogue, and contributing to overall team development.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Head.

Educational and Professional Requirements

• Degree holder, with engineering background and/or experience in project management. Relevant degree includes Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Structural, and Quantity Surveying.
• Diploma holder, with architectural/ID, engineering background, and/ or experience in project management.
• Minimum 2-3 years of project management experience and/or in the capacity within consultant firms working on projects.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Experience in working in healthcare sector is a plus.
• Proficient in AutoCAD is a plus.
