Job summary

The Institute of Mental Health in Singapore seeks an Assistant Director to drive strategic priorities, partnerships and institutional development. Working closely with senior leaders and external partners, you will guide governance, programme delivery and cross-functional initiatives to strengthen organisational impact.

You will lead strategic planning, environment scanning, and stakeholder engagement to support long-term growth and enterprise-wide improvement across IMH.

Qualifications

  • Degree from a recognised university.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in strategy, policy, healthcare, public sector, consulting, stakeholder engagement, organisational development, communications, or corporate planning.
  • Proven track record in leading complex projects, managing multiple stakeholders, and driving organisational initiatives.
  • Experience engaging senior leadership, government agencies, and external partners is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic planning, policy development and organisational performance initiatives to support the achievement of organisational priorities.
  • Drive research, environmental scanning and strategic analysis, and provide recommendations to support management decision-making and long-term planning.
  • Develop and manage strategic partnerships, stakeholder engagement and advocacy initiatives that strengthen the organisation's positioning, influence and institutional impact.
  • Lead initiatives that strengthen organisational effectiveness, resilience and continuous improvement, including capability-building, transformation and change efforts.
  • Partner stakeholders across the organisation to drive leadership engagement, talent development, organisational alignment and enterprise-wide improvement initiatives.
  • Provide strategic advice and facilitate stakeholder engagement on projects with significant organisational or cross-functional impact
  • Lead governance, corporate reporting and organisation-wide coordination activities in support of organisational priorities and decision-making.
  • Oversee the preparation of management papers, corporate submissions, presentations and reports for leadership discussions.
  • Foster effective relationships with key stakeholders and represent the department in organisational, cluster and external engagements as required.
  • Lead and manage cross-functional projects and organisational initiatives.
  • Supervise, coach and develop staff to build individual and team capabilities.

Job Responsibilities
