Job summary

The Centre for Quantum Technologies (CQT) at the National University of Singapore is seeking an experienced administrator to support exam matters, course registrations and PhD committee processes.

You will coordinate student travel, assist with NQSS matters, and provide secretarial support to the PhD Academic Committee and NQSS Committee, leveraging strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum degree holder
• At least 5 years of related working experience
• Preferably experience in handling student programmes
• Meticulous, resourceful and proactive
• Excellent interpersonal skills with drive and independence

Responsibilities

• Administrate the CQT exam matters
• Administrate course registrations including creation of new courses and exemptions
• Assist with PhD Academic Committee applications (contact applicants, interviews)
• Process student travel requests (air tickets quotation and booking)
• Assist in National Quantum Scholarship Scheme (NQSS) matters
• Secretarial support to the PhD Academic Committee & NQSS Committee
• Support alumni network and organise student events/workshops/activities/welfare programmes

About Centre for Quantum Technologies (CQT)

The Centre for Quantum Technologies (CQT) in Singapore brings together physicists, computer scientists and engineers to do basic research on quantum physics and to build devices based on quantum phenomena. Experts in this new discipline of quantum technologies are applying their discoveries in computing, communications, and sensing.

CQT is hosted by the National University of Singapore. The Centre also has staff at the Agency for Science, Technology and Research, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and the Singapore University of Technology and Design. With some 200 staff and students, it offers a friendly and international work environment.

• Administrate the CQT exam matters
• Administrate CQT course registration matters including creation of new courses etc; course exemptions
• Assist with the CQT PhD Academic Committee application process (contact applicants, interviews etc)
• Student travel requests (quotation and booking of air ticket etc)
• Assist in National Quantum Scholarship Scheme (NQSS) related matters
• Secretarial support to the CQT PhD Academic Committee & NQSS Committee
• Other administrative and logistical matters relating to PhD students (eg. CQT alumni network; Assist in organising students related events/workshops/activities/welfare programmes)
