Job summary

Pratt & Whitney, an RTX business, is seeking a maintenance technician to perform breakdown and preventive maintenance on plant equipment, manage spare parts, and improve equipment performance. The role involves after-hours call-backs and collaboration with EH&S and Quality teams.

The ideal candidate holds a NITEC in relevant discipline, has hands-on experience, understands SOPs, and can work independently while thriving in a team.

Qualifications

• NITEC in Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or relevant disciplines.
• 2 years of relevant maintenance/repair experience; open to non-experienced candidates with training.
• Ability to understand SOPs and standard procedures.
• Hands-on with equipment, tools, and machines.
• Self-motivated with a positive attitude toward change management.
• Good team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willing to rotate shifts and work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform breakdown maintenance to root cause and preventive maintenance of plant equipment and facilities.
• Manage critical equipment spare parts.
• Improve equipment performance and document results.
• Respond to call-backs for machine recovery after hours.
• Comply with Ethics, EH&S, and Quality programs.
• Support EH&S, Quality and Continuous Improvement activities.

What You Will Do

• Perform breakdown maintenance to the root cause and preventive maintenance of plant equipment and facilities.

• Perform critical equipment spare parts management.

• Improve equipment performances and the subsequent documentation.

• Respond to call-back for machine recovery when escalated after office hours.

• Compliance to Ethic & Compliance, EH&S & Quality program.

• Support and participate in EH&S, Quality & Continuous Improvement (CORE) activities

Qualifications You Must Have

• NITEC in Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or relevant disciplines.

• 2 years of relevant experience in the maintenance and repair of machineries. Open to consider candidates no experience as training will be provided.

• Ability to understand basic technical instructions and standard operation procedures (SOP).

• Comfortable with hands-on work to operate with equipment, tools, and machines.

• Self-motivated to work independently with a positive attitude towards change management.

• Good team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Willing to work on rotating shift and overtime on need basis.
