Job summary

PRATT & WHITNEY CANADA (SEA) PTE LTD is seeking a dedicated technician to perform mechanical and chemical cleaning processes for aviation MRO, with emphasis on adhering to quality procedures and safety guidelines.

The role requires familiarity with engine manuals and cleaning/NDT methods, plus the ability to work rotating shifts and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. On-site, with opportunities for certification and training.

Qualifications

• NITEC or Higher NITEC in Mechanical or Electrical engineering.
• Minimum 2 years in cleaning/NDT within aviation MRO.
• Knowledge of mechanical and chemical cleaning processes for aviation.
• Willing to work on rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and chemical cleaning processes per production schedule.
• Follow Quality procedures and guidelines in daily tasks.
• Support EH&S, Quality, Ethics and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Familiar with engine manuals and documents controlling cleaning or NDT methods.
• Know basic materials and inspection criteria for components.
• Set up and standardize cleaning or NDT equipment and document results.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by workshop engineers/cell leaders.

What You Will Do

• Perform various Mechanical & Chemical cleaning processes as per production schedule.
• Perform daily work tasks per Quality work procedures and guidelines.
• Support and participate in EH&S, Quality, Ethics and Continuous Improvement projects and initiatives.
• Familiar with the engine manuals, standards, and other contractual documents that control the Cleaning or NDT method used by MRO.
• Possess basic knowledge of relevant product materials and inspection criteria.
• Set up and standardize Cleaning or NDT equipment, process parts, interpret and evaluate for acceptance or rejection and document results.
• Carry out any other duties as assigned by Workshop engineer/Cell leaders.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Minimum NITEC or Higher NITEC in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or any other related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in cleaning/NDT in aviation industry.
• Knowledge in Mechanical & Chemical cleaning processes required for aviation MRO.
• Willing to work on rotating shifts.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Self-motivated and able to work independently with a positive attitude towards change management.
• Aerospace experience in dealing with aircraft structures, engines and/or components will be advantageous
• Possess high level of integrity and accountability with a strong drive towards Quality.
