Job summary

A leading chemical company in Singapore is seeking a Maintenance Planner to manage execution of facility maintenance activities. Responsibilities include planning and scheduling maintenance work, handling SAP work orders, and generating reports. The ideal candidate will have a diploma in engineering, 5 years of experience in facility maintenance, and proficiency in SAP. This position is based in Jurong Island, Singapore.

Maintenance Planner (Facilities) | Chemical MNC | Jurong Island

Perform job planning & scheduling and manage execution of facility maintenance activities:

• Work Planning & Coordination: Develop detailed job plans, sequence tasks, and allocate required manpower, scaffolding, and insulation. Identify and order necessary materials from stock or external suppliers. Conduct walkdowns to develop job plans and explain the scope to stakeholders.
• SAP Management: Handle SAP work orders, ensuring proper planning, scheduling, and closure. Manage work order backlogs, prioritize them, and maintain proper documentation. Familiarity with SAP modules like notifications, work orders, maintenance plans, and material management is crucial.
• Documentation & Reporting: Develop and maintain work packages, track work order backlogs, and generate reports on maintenance effectiveness and costs. Manage calibration records and support risk assessments and root cause analysis.
• Facility Support: Work closely with engineers and various departments to plan and support facility maintenance during normal operations and turnarounds. Lead the turnaround schedule and provide updates.
• Training: Provide technical training and equipment introductions to contractors.

Requirements:

• Diploma and/or Bachelor’s in relevant engineering (Mechanical or E&I or Mechatronics)
• 5 years of experience as a facility technician/executive.
• Know-how in facility maintenance processes and equipment covering: HVAC, blowers, fans, compressors, chillers, Fire Systems, Security access and monitoring systems, Basic electrical and communication equipment
• Experience with SAP
• Ability to understand technical drawings and equipment documentation
• Strong communication and organizational skills and ability to work under pressure
• Ability to analyze situations, make decisions and provide related technical solutions to maintenance challenge.
• Willing to work in Jurong Island
