Job summary

ShinMaywa (Asia) Pte Ltd is seeking a seasoned maintenance leader to head a large technical team in Singapore. You will guide service & maintenance staff, drive safety standards, and manage complex scheduled tasks with a focus on quality and client satisfaction.

Your role involves coordinating with subcontractors, optimizing budgets, and ensuring reliable operations. A strong background in heavy machinery maintenance and formal engineering education is essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• Diploma holder requires 15+ years in heavy machinery maintenance.
• Degree holder requires 10+ years in installation, servicing and maintenance of heavy machinery.
• CSCPM Certificate is required.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; proficiency in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a large-scale technical team of 50 to 100 service and maintenance staff.
• Oversee daily workforce deployments, ensuring high productivity, ongoing skill development, and a strong culture of safety and accountability.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive maintenance schedules to guarantee timely completion of tasks in compliance with requirements.
• Source, evaluate, and partner with qualified subcontractors for specialized works and maintain a network of reliable subcontractors.
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify preventative maintenance needs, troubleshoot complex issues, and enforce quality control.
• Proactively propose maintenance upgrades to clients including quotations after site visits.
• Champion workplace safety by ensuring activities comply with safety procedures and regulations.
• Act as the primary escalation point for client feedback and ensure issues are addressed promptly.
• Prepare, execute, and monitor annual, quarterly, and monthly budgets for the maintenance department.
• Oversee parts and equipment inventory management and optimize resource allocation to meet budget targets.

Oversee daily workforce deployments, ensure high productivity, ongoing skill development, and a strong culture of safety and accountability. Conduct regular site inspections to identify preventative maintenance needs, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and enforce quality control. Act as the primary point of escalation for client feedback and build long-term working relationships with key client stakeholders.

• Lead, mentor, and develop a large-scale technical team of 50 to 100 service and maintenance staff
• Oversee daily workforce deployments, ensuring high productivity, ongoing skill development, and a strong culture of safety and accountability
• Develop and maintain comprehensive maintenance schedules to guarantee the timely completion of all tasks in strict compliance with operational requirements
• Source, evaluate, and partner with qualified subcontractors for specialized works and maintain a robust network of reliable subcontractors
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify necessary preventative maintenance needs, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and enforce quality control
• Proactively propose necessary maintenance upgrades to clients including quotation of services following site visits
• Champion workplace safety by ensuring all maintenance activities strictly comply with statutory safety procedures and industry regulations
• Act as the primary point of escalation for client feedback, ensuring all issues and concerns are addressed promptly and service quality is continuously improved
• Prepare, execute, and monitor the annual, quarterly, and monthly financial budgets for the maintenance department
• Oversee parts and equipment inventory management, track ongoing repair costs, and optimize resource allocation to align with budget targets

About you

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / or related engineering discipline from a recognised institution
• At least 10 years' of experience in installation, servicing and maintenance of heavy machinery, plant and equipment for degree holder
• At least 15 years of experience in installation, servicing and maintenance of heavy machinery, plant and equipment for diploma holder
• Strong leadership, supervisory and training skills for managing large group of technicians, including both local and foreign nationalities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Construction Safety Course for Project Managers (CSCPM Course) certificate is required
• Knowledge in HVAC/aircon system maintenance, condition monitoring systems will be an advantage
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to negotiate with clients and present technical information clearly
