Job summary

MICRON SEMICONDUCTOR ASIA OPERATIONS PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to oversee preventive and progressive maintenance for critical plant systems.

You will plan, execute, and document maintenance activities, coordinate with vendors, and ensure compliance with SOPs and risk assessments. The role emphasizes root-cause analysis, TPM initiatives, and safe, efficient operation of MAU/AHU/Chillers and related equipment.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent related field with minimum of 3 years experience in a mechanical field.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance practices and installation work.
• Hands-on experience in maintenance of mechanical systems.
• Experience with MAU, VLF, RCU, AHU, FCU, and related equipment.
• Ability to analyze maintenance service reports or overhaul reports and read schematics.

Responsibilities

• Plan, liaise with vendors, raise permits, and execute preventive maintenance tasks.
• Manage Progressive Replacement Regime activities and track status.
• Assist equipment engineer in root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Document maintenance in SOPs, risk assessments, and pre-task plans.
• Supervise outsourced contractors and ensure work aligns with scope.

Responsibilities and Tasks

Preventive Maintenance Regime

• Timely generation and closure of Work Orders for PM and CM
• Plan; liaise with vendors;raise necessary permits; execution; and completion of PM works
• Retrieve relevant SOP/RA/PTP and PM checklist
• Execute PMschedulingandPreventive and Corrective Maintenance work activities.

Progressive Replacement Regime

• Plan; liaise with vendors; review PTP and RA; raise necessary permits; execute, complete, and track the status of Progressive Maintenance Regime in tracking file.
• Check; draw; and prepare inventories for use in the regime

Evaluate& enablecontinuous improvementformechanical systems and Micronprograms

Root CauseAnalysis

• Assistequipment engineer in root cause finding through 8D report adopting 5-Whys; verification of suspected root cause; perform corrective actions; and preventive actions, to prevent recurrence
• Administratedocumentation in Standard Operating Procedure, Risk Assessment, Energy Isolation Procedure and Pre-Task-Plan
• Attendtroubleshootingof systemabnormalities andassistor lead system recovery.
• Supervise out-sourced contract service provider toperformancework activities in accordancetodefined scope of work and systemrequirement.
• Utilize computer base software to document and analyses records of maintenance work order, equipmenthistoryand project tracking.
• Maintain equipment and system maintenance record for work history traceability.
• Track andmonitorequipmentspare parts and consumable inventory.
• Provide feedback on detail design concept and specifications for installation of new capital equipment and/or system expansion project
• Sitesupervisionfor installation of new capital equipment and/or system expansion project at critical milestone during construction phase
• Provides support forstart uptesting and commissioning of new equipment andsystem.
• Support & implementfeasibleSMART Facilitiesintiative
• Enforcetocompany’s environmental safetyhealth policyandprocedure, standard operatingprocedurewith risk assessment, good housekeepingstandardand quality policy when performing work.

Job Requirements:

• Diplomain Mechanicalengineeringor equivalent related field(covering 90% of mechanical Engineering Diploma course)withminimum of3years experienceinrelevant mechanical field.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance practices and procedure and installation work
• Experiencesin hands on maintenance of mechanical system
• Make-up Air Unit (MAU); Vertical Laminar Flow fan (VLF); Recirculating Unit (RCU); Air Handling Unit (AHU); and Fan Coil Unit (FCU)
• Exhaust Systems (Acid Exhaust; Caustic Exhaust; Solvent Exhaust; and General Exhaust)
• Wet Scrubbers and Solvent Abatement
• Chillers
• Cooling Towers
• Pumps (Condenser Water Pumps; Chilled Water Pumps; Hot Water Pumps; Process Cooling Water Pumps)
• Process Vacuum Pump
