THE POLYOLEFIN COMPANY (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD. is seeking a skilled candidate for the role in the Maintenance Section, responsible for managing maintenance and instrumentation activities in manufacturing plants.

The ideal candidate should have a degree in Instrumentation or Electrical & Electronic Engineering and possess 3-5 years of relevant experience. Key responsibilities include managing maintenance tasks, coordinating field works safely, conducting staff training, and ensuring compliance with ISO standards.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in operation and maintenance of instrument facilities in refinery, chemical, power, or construction industries.
• Knowledge of Process Gas Chromatograph (PGC) and Distributed Control System (DCS) is a plus.

Job description

Your role

You will join the Maintenance Section to upkeep the manufacturing plants equipped with latest technology and advanced engineering control, and support the Maintenance Manager in accomplishing corporate business objectives.

Your responsibilities

• To manage maintenance and instrumentation activities for facilities in the manufacturing plants for safe and smooth operations.
• To coordinate and execute major field maintenance works with no compromise to safety of workers and integrity of facilities.
• To liaise with internal and external business units on maintenance activities to ensure timely completion of maintenance works and no disruption to plant operations.
• To carry out instrumentation application study and modification of plant facilities according to technical specification and business requirements.
• To conduct and arrange training for staff and contractor to enhance their skill and competency levels.
• To implement management systems based on standards stipulated under ISO 9001, ISO14001 and SS651.
• To respond to plant emergency calls and resolve plant instrumentation troubles within tight schedule.

Your background and competencies

• Possess a Degree in Instrumentation or Electrical & Electronic Engineering.
• Have 3 - 5 years of experience in operation and maintenance of instrument facilities in refinery, chemical, power or construction industries.
• Knowledge on Process Gas Chromatograph (PGC), Distributed Control System (DCS) would be a plus.
• Essential prerequisites include good analytical & problem-solving skills, ability to communicate with staff in different functions & contractors, and strong spirit of collaboration & team-work.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and has basic knowledge in SAP applications will be advantageous.
