Job summary

Micro-Mechanics PTE LTD is seeking a skilled Machinist to operate and set up various machining equipment in our Singapore facility. The role emphasizes maintaining quality through inspection and adherence to safety protocols while supporting production targets.

Ideal candidates have hands-on machining experience, ability to read drawings, and a secondary education background with vocational training in manufacturing. This role is on-site with exposure to multiple processes and equipment.

Qualifications

• Secondary school or equivalent required.
• Nitec / Diploma/ Vocational training in manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex machine setups.
• Set up, operate machining equipment (e.g., Milling, Turning, Grinding EDM, Wire cut etc.) according to production schedules.
• Monitor machine parameters and production cycles to ensure consistent output.
• Perform routine checks and maintenance of machines.
• Performs secondary processes including deburring, Assembly, Part washing etc
• Operate conventional machine such as Manual Milling, Turning etc.
• Other machining equipment, Brazing, Sandblasting etc.
• Set up tooling's
• Inspect finished products for defects, ensuring compliance with quality standards and specifications
• Follow quality control procedures and document inspection results.
• Report non‑conformities and assist in root cause analysis.
• Conduct daily cleaning and preventive maintenance of machines.
• Adhere to workplace safety protocols, including PPE usage and hazard reporting.
• Support troubleshooting and elevate mechanical issues to Supervisors.
• Record production data (cycle times, scrap rates, output quantities).
• Assist in material handling (loading rubber compounds, removing finished parts).
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production targets.

Requirements

1.Education

• Secondary school or equivalent
• Nitec / Diploma/ Vocational training in manufacturing preferred

2.Work Experience

• Minimum 1 year working experience in machining or related manufacturing environment

3.Job-Specific Skills and Knowledge:

• Strong hands-on experience in machining operations
• Technical knowledge of machining processes
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
