Job summary

Howco Group in Singapore is seeking an experienced CNC operator/programmer to operate Fanuc-controlled lathes and a deep hole boring machine, producing intricate parts from exotic alloys with tight tolerances.

You will set up tooling, write and edit G-code, optimize cycles, and perform first-off inspections and in-process checks, while maintaining records and adhering to ISO standards and safety protocols. Shift work and independence are required.

Qualifications

• With Technical Trade Certificate or equivalent.
• Minimum 2-3 years of working experiences in relevant industry.
• Able to work independently and perform shift work.

Responsibilities

• Program and operate Fanuc CNC lathes and deep hole boring machine.
• Set up tooling, fixtures, and work offsets to achieve tolerances.
• Write, edit, and troubleshoot G-code/M-code programs.
• Optimize cutting parameters for efficiency and tool life.
• Perform first-off inspections and in-process checks.
• Use micrometers, calipers, and height gauge to verify dimensions.
• Maintain job sheets and production logs.
• Adhere to ISO standards and safety protocols.
• Machining exotic alloys (Inconel, Monel, stainless steels).
• Produce intricate parts with tight tolerances.
• Reduce scrap and optimize cycle times while maintaining quality.
• Keep equipment and work area clean; perform basic preventive maintenance.
• Daily cleaning and light maintenance on machinery.

• Use precision instruments (micrometers, calipers, Height Gauge) to verify dimensions.
• Maintain job sheets, inspection records, and production logs.
• Adhere to ISO standards and safety protocols.
• Machining exotic alloys like Inconel, Monel, and stainless steels.
• Producing intricate parts with tight tolerances.
• Using Fanuc-controlled CNC lathes for complex profiles and threading.
• Reducing scrap rates and optimizing cycle times while maintaining quality.
• Responsible for keeping equipment and work area clean and perform basic preventive maintenance functions on equipment.
• Performs daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment.
• All other ad-hoc tasks assigned.
