Job summary

TÜV SÜD in Singapore is seeking a dedicated testing professional to join their Electrical and Electronic Test Centre. The role involves overseeing day-to-day testing operations while also expanding business and developing new test services.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechatronics or Software Engineering and possesses excellent project planning and interpersonal skills. Strong adaptability and analytical abilities are essential for success in this position.

This is a full-time onsite role that may require occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor Degree in Electrical, Mechatronics or Software Engineering discipline.
• Familiarity with EN 60204‑1 and/or ISO 12100 standards will be an added advantage.
• Occasional travelling may be required.

Job description

You will be part of the Electrical and Electronic Test Centre that provides testing for Electrical and Electronic related products to ensure its compliance to international standards. Reporting to the Product Manager, you will support him to oversee the day‑to‑day testing operations and also be actively involved in expanding the business and developing new test services.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct risk assessment, safety evaluation, testing and inspection of machineries within quality parameters whilst conforming to international standards
• Interpret test methods/procedures and exercise sound judgement on the methodologies as well as results
• Proactively develop new testing services and capabilities
• Collaborate with vendors and other departments to resolve engineering issues or testing requirements
• Coordinate with clients, suppliers and sub‑contractors to ensure smooth execution of projects

Key Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor Degree in Electrical, Mechatronics or Software Engineering discipline
• Familiarity with EN 60204‑1 and/or ISO 12100 standards will be an added advantage
• Strong project planning and coordinating skills
• Result and service‑oriented individuals that possess high adaptability, initiative, analytical mindset, strong interpersonal and communication skills and sound business judgement/acumen
• Good network in the ASEAN machinery/robotics industry would be a plus point
• Occasional travelling may be required
