Job summary

Thiam Building Construction Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced M&E professional to lead on-site coordination of mechanical and electrical systems across healthcare construction projects in Singapore. • 8+ years of relevant working experience in building and construction.
• Experience with healthcare projects preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit and BIM.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the planning, design, installation, documentation and commissioning of M&E systems in construction and engineering projects.
• Check method statements and check drawing discrepancies.
• Monitor and report on the progress of work to project manager/director.
• Control the progress of RFA, RFI, Shop Drawings, Technical Submissions and Equipment/Material Procurement/Fabrication/Delivery Status for on-time completion.
• Review M&E drawings, schematics, and shop drawings to ensure alignment with architectural and structural requirements.
• Lead on-site M&E teams; resolve technical conflicts or clashes on site.
• Oversee testing and commissioning of M&E systems prior to client handover.
• Ensure works meet regulatory standards (BCA, EMA, SCDF).
• Liaise with clients, consultants, authorities and subcontractors to ensure effective communication and problem resolution.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have experience in a wide range of M&E disciplines and be able represent the main contractor as the M&E professional to lead the M&E subcontractors and liaise with all consultants for the company’s projects.

Job Description

• Oversees the planning, design, installation, documentation and commissioning of M&E systems in construction and engineering projects

• Liaise with clients, consultants, relevant authorities, and subcontractors regarding M&E issues, ensuring effective communication and problem resolution.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Building Services. Professional Engineer (PE) board recognition is preferred
• Experience in healthcare projects is preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience in the building and construction industry.
• Proficiency in design and coordination software such as AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit, and BIM (Building Information Modeling).
• Accreditations like Green Mark Accredited Professional (GMAP) or Resident Engineer (RE) are highly advantageous
