Job summary

Thiam Building Construction Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced M&E professional to lead MEP subcontractors and liaise with consultants on healthcare projects. You will monitor progress, prepare method statements, manage drawings and technical submissions, coordinate procurement and fabrication, and oversee QA/QC inspections to ensure on-time completion.

Candidates should have a Diploma or Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering and a minimum of 8 years' experience in Singapore's building

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years' work experience in Singapore building/construction.
• Strong Electrical/Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience.
• Good coordination with site teams to execute work.
• Experience in design and build is an advantage.
• AutoCAD experience is an advantage.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have experience in a wide range of M&E disciplines and be able represent the main contractor as the M&E professional to lead the M&E subcontractors and liaise with all consultants for the project.

Job Description

• Monitor and report on the progress of work to project manager.
• Prepare method statements and check drawing discrepancies.
• Carry out project planning, design, material requisition, cost control, project supervision and documentation.
• Control the progress of RFA, RFI, Shop Drawings, Technical Submissions and Equipment/Material Procurement/Fabrication/Delivery Status for on-time completion.
• Ensure good MEP drawing management and the control of MEP documentation/filing on site
• Coordinate with client's representatives, consultants, and subcontractors on all technical matters, including submission of method statement, drawings, materials, samples and work progress.
• Control site progress & installation quality as per approved Shop Drawings, Technical Submissions and Equipment/Material Procurement/Fabrication/Delivery Schedule for on-time completion.
• Assist in supervising and coordinating MEP services work closely with other departments.
• Assist for submission of evaluation of progress claim, variation work.
• Participate in all relevant project review meetings, site meetings, design meetings, and other project relevant meetings.
• Responsible for carrying out M&E technical meetings and resolving technical issues with record.
• Responsible for M&E drawing coordination and production of CSD and individual service drawings quality.
• Provide and maintain all site inspection records & T&C records up to date.
• Responsible for conducting QA/QC inspection, managing RE, RTO and responsible for clearing QA/QC inspections to meet with construction schedule.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
• Experience in healthcare projects is preferred.
• Minimum 8 years' work experience related projects in Singapore building and construction industry
• Possess strong Electrical/Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experiences.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate with site teams to execute work
• Experience in design and build is an advantage
• Use of AutoCad would be an advantage
