Job summary

YTL Construction (S) Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced M&E Coordinator in Singapore with 5+ years in the construction industry, including LTA projects. You will coordinate M&E works with civil and structural teams and support technical, contractual and tender matters.

You will review drawings, manage M&E submissions, ensure compliance with LTA/BCA requirements and contribute to tender preparations for major infrastructure projects. Strong coordination and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
• More than 5 years of relevant experience in construction.
• Proven experience on LTA projects in Singapore and tender preparation.
• BCA RP status or relevant certification recognised by BCA (CCPP/SDCP/ACCP).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage M&E works for LTA and major infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate M&E with civil, structural, architectural and other trades.
• Review drawings, specifications and technical submissions.
• Ensure M&E installations comply with drawings, specs, LTA and regulations.
• Coordinate with LTA, consultants, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers and stakeholders.
• Monitor site progress, workmanship and quality of M&E works.
• Attend site meetings, coordination meetings and progress meetings.
• Identify and resolve M&E coordination issues and site constraints.
• Review shop drawings, method statements, material submissions and ITPs.
• Monitor testing and commissioning activities and maintain documentation.
• Coordinate interfaces with civil/structural works to minimise clashes.
• Monitor subcontractors and ensure works align with the approved programme.
• Assist in tender preparation and submission for major infrastructure and civil projects.
• Review tender documents, drawings, specs, scope and M&E requirements.
• Prepare M&E technical proposals and construction methodologies for tender submissions.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced M&E Coordinator with more than 5 years of relevant experience in the construction industry, including proven experience in LTA projects and LTA tender preparation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating mechanical and electrical works, ensuring effective integration between M&E systems and civil/structural works, and supporting the project team in technical, contractual and tender-related matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and manage Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) works for LTA and major infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate M&E works with civil, structural, architectural and other specialist trades.
• Review M&E drawings, specifications, design documents and technical submissions.
• Ensure M&E installations are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, LTA requirements and relevant statutory regulations.
• Coordinate with LTA, consultants, Professional Engineers, subcontractors, suppliers and other project stakeholders
• Monitor site progress, workmanship and quality of M&E works
• Attend site meetings, technical coordination meetings and progress meetings
• Identify and resolve M&E coordination issues and site constraints
• Review and coordinate shop drawings, method statements, material submissions and inspection requests
• Monitor testing and commissioning activities and ensure proper documentation is maintained
• Coordinate M&E services and interfaces with civil/structural works to minimise clashes and construction delay
• Monitor M&E subcontractors and ensure works are completed according to the approved programme
• Participate in the preparation and submission of LTA tenders for major infrastructure and civil engineering projects
• Review LTA tender documents, drawings, specifications, scope of works and M&E requirements
• Prepare M&E technical proposals and construction methodologies for tender submissions
• Assist in developing M&E work programmes, construction sequences and resource requirements
• Review M&E quantities, specifications and scope for tender purposes
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain M&E quotations and technical information
• Evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals and provide technical recommendations.
• Identify M&E-related construction risks and propose suitable mitigation measure
• Prepare tender clarifications and responses to LTA / consultant queries
• Participate in tender interviews, technical presentations and clarification meetings
• Ensure tender submissions comply with LTA requirements and project specifications
• Apply construction productivity principles to M&E planning and execution
• Identify opportunities to improve M&E installation methods, manpower utilisation and site productivity
• Prepare and review technical submissions, method statements, inspection and test plans and M&E documentation
• Support the Project Manager / Project Director in technical and M&E-related matters
• Ensure compliance with applicable LTA, BCA and statutory requirements

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or equivalent recognised qualification
• More than 5 years of relevant experience in the construction industry
• Proven experience working on LTA projects in Singapore and tender preparation and submission
• Possess BCA Registerable Professional (RP) status or relevant professional registration and CCPP / SDCP / ACCP certification recognised by BCA
• Strong knowledge of M&E systems, construction methods and site coordination
• Experience in major infrastructure, MRT, rail, station, depot or other LTA projects will be highly advantageous
• Good understanding of LTA and BCA requirements
• Strong technical, coordination, communication and problem-solving skills
• Able to work independently and coordinate effectively with consultants, contractors, subcontractors and project teams
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant M&E / engineering software
