• Knowledge of CIS hardening and ITIL processes.
• Strong networking fundamentals (IP, VLANs).

Responsibilities

• Perform hardware configuration, firmware updates, and tuning for security and performance.
• Deploy and configure Hyper‑V to create virtualized server farms.
• Implement software-defined storage and networking as part of the infra.
• Integrate components with central management and monitoring tools.
• Review designs with solution architects to validate technical feasibility.
• Create and maintain as-built docs, network diagrams, and SOPs.
• Conduct SIT readiness checks for infrastructure, network, and security.
• Provide post-go-live support and ensure environment stability.
• Monitor system performance, capacity, and error logs; adjust configurations.
• Troubleshoot incidents and coordinate with dev/ops for permanent fixes.

Job description

We are looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to lead the physical build-out, configuration, and integration of server farm and data center solutions. The ideal candidate will possess deep hands‑on experience with server, storage, and network hardware, coupled with a strong understanding of virtualization and security platforms. You will be responsible for transforming architectural designs into fully operational, resilient, and efficient physical infrastructure for our clients. This role involves coordinating with project managers, technical teams, vendors, and stakeholders to validate readiness, execute deployment tasks, monitor system health, and resolve any launch‑day issues. The scope includes infrastructure setup, documentation, basic network configuration, escalation management, testing and post support after going live.

Key responsibilities:

Perform hardware configuration, firmware updates, tuning of system for optimal performance and security compliance requirements

Deploy and configure hypervisor technologies (Microsoft Hyper‑V) to create virtualized server farms

Implement software-defined storage and networking solutions as part of the overall infrastructure

Integrate infrastructure components with central management and monitoring tools

Collaborate with solution architects to review and validate technical designs

Create and maintain as-built documentation, network diagrams, SOPs

Perform infrastructure, network, and security readiness checks as part of the SIT plan

Provide extended post-go-live support, ensuring stability of all environments

Monitor system performance, capacity, and error logs; fine-tune configurations as needed

Troubleshoot incidents, apply hotfixes/patches, and coordinate with development and operations teams for permanent resolutions

About you:

Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Minimum of 5 years of hands‑on experience in building and deploying data center infrastructure, working on Hyper‑V, Windows Servers, REHL, Firewall, F5 load balancer, PAM, Network switches, and Data Backup products

Experience with Hyper‑V cluster setup, vNIC, and vSwitch configuration

Experience with performing CIS hardening on Windows 2022 Data Center & REHL, GPO deployment, and assessment remediation

Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and hybrid cloud connectivity solutions

Familiarity with ITIL change and incident management processes

Good knowledge of networking (IP addressing, routing, VLANs)
