Job summary

Lenovo PCCW Solutions Limited in Singapore seeks a skilled Linux professional with 3+ years of experience to support and manage enterprise Linux environments on physical servers and hypervisors. You will collaborate with the NOC team, network engineers, and DBAs to meet SLA requirements.

Responsibilities include server optimization, 24x7 on-call rotation, problem resolution with vendors, root-cause analysis, storage provisioning, security patches, and backup/DR operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Linux server administration experience, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with RHEL-based environments and related tools (Satellite or equivalent).
• Strong focus on OS hardening, CIS benchmarks, and security patching.
• Familiarity with LDAP and Kerberos for identity management.
• Experience with performance tuning, storage allocation, and LUN management.
• Experience supporting enterprise backup/DR strategies and disaster recovery.
• Ability to coordinate with NOC, network engineers, DBAs, and vendors.

Job description

We are seeking a skilled Linux professional with a minimum of 3 years of experience in supporting and managing enterprise-level operating systems, with a strong emphasis on Linux environments deployed on both physical servers and hypervisors. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Network Operations Center (NOC) team, as well as network engineers, database administrators (DBAs) engineers, to ensure a stable and resilient operating environment that meets all contractual Service Level Agreement (SLA) requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and optimize server performance
• Perform 24 x 7 stand-by for service contract and maintenance services in rotating basis for critical production systems, ensuring high availability and system health
• Coordinate with vendors and support team on problem resolution, implementation issues and upgrades
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
• Deliver technical assistance for application and hardware issues
• Manage storage provisioning and expansion
• Ensure timely application of security patches and OS updates
• Perform user administration tasks
• Support backup and disaster recovery operations using enterprise backup system
• Provision and manage LUNs using Pure Storage

About you
