Job summary

Lenovo is seeking a System Administrator to manage server installations, optimize performance, and ensure 24x7 reliability across Linux/UNIX environments in Singapore.

The role requires hands-on experience with RHEL 7/8/9 and Solaris 10/11, CIS security hardening, and familiarity with Azure, load balancers, and firewalls. Strong communication and accurate documentation are essential for supporting critical infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Experience in Linux/UNIX server administration with focus on reliability and performance.
• Hands-on experience with RHEL 7/8/9 in enterprise environments.
• Experience implementing CIS security hardening on servers.
• Provide 24x7 support for production systems and perform root cause analysis.
• Strong written and verbal communication for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Knowledge of Azure, load balancers, and firewall configurations.
• Administration across Solaris 10/11 environments.

Responsibilities

• Install, administer and optimize Linux/UNIX servers for production.
• Provide 24x7 support and monitor system health and uptime.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Harden servers according to CIS guidelines and document changes.
• Coordinate with teams and communicate technical issues clearly.

Description and Requirements

• Server installation, Administration and performance optimization with RedHat 7/8/9 with minimum 3 years of Experience in RHEL and WOG environment
• Provides technical assistance and support for applications, hardware problems. Prepare evaluations and reports on system efficiency and utilization
• Innovative and talented System Administrator who will be responsible for production up-time, health checkup of physical systems. Provide 24x7 support to critical production systems and team members.
• Performing root cause analysis of problems. Prepare a plan of action, implement changes, document all work completed
• Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical and technical audiences.
• Responsible for Linux/UNIX security hardening in accordance with the CIS guidance.
• Storage addition on RHEL/Solaris servers
• Make Sure RHEL and Solaris servers have latest security os patches with RHEL satellite server knowledge.
• Knowledge on Microsoft Azure, Load Balancers and Firewalls and OS cluster, Virtualization.
• User administration tasks on RHEL 7/8/9 and Solaris10/11 servers.
