Job summary

SHANGYI LOGISTICS CONSULTANT PTE. LTD. is seeking a capable Warehouse Operations Lead to oversee daily warehousing activities, ensuring accurate receiving, put-away, storage, picking, packing and dispatch in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires coordinating inbound/outbound planning, maintaining FIFO/FEFO inventory control, supervising staff, and optimizing layout and processes. You will work with cross-functional teams to meet shipping timelines and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• 1. Warehouse Operations: Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, put-away, storage, picking, packing, dispatch and returns.
• 2. Inventory Control: Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct cycle counts and stocktakes, investigate discrepancies and ensure physical stock matches the system.
• 3. Warehouse Team Management: Supervise and allocate work to warehouse staff, monitor productivity and ensure daily operational tasks are completed accurately and on time.
• 4. Warehouse Layout & Space Planning: Manage storage locations, warehouse layout and space utilisation to improve efficiency and accommodate incoming stock.
• 5. Inbound & Outbound Planning: Coordinate incoming containers and deliveries together with outbound B2B and e-commerce orders to avoid warehouse congestion and fulfilment delays.
• 6. Expiry & Stock Rotation: Ensure proper FIFO/FEFO practices, monitor product expiry dates and manage short-dated, damaged and slow-moving stock.
• 7. Order Fulfilment: Ensure B2B, retail and e-commerce orders are accurately picked, packed and dispatched according to required timelines.
• 8. Warehouse Safety & Compliance: Maintain warehouse cleanliness, safety standards, pest-control requirements and proper handling/storage procedures.
• 9. Logistics & Import Management: Manage overseas shipments, customs clearance, freight forwarders, transporters and movement of imported goods into the warehouse.
• 10. Replenishment Planning: Monitor sales, stock, incoming shipments and forecasts to prepare replenishment and purchasing recommendations.
• 11. Cost Control: Monitor freight, transport, warehouse manpower, equipment and other logistics-related costs and identify areas for improvement.
• 12. Reporting & Process Improvement: Prepare warehouse and logistics reports, establish SOPs, monitor KPIs and continuously improve operational processes.
• 13. Sales Administration & Order Processing: Process B2B customer orders, prepare sales orders, tax invoices and delivery documents, coordinate stock allocation and fulfilment, and liaise with customers, warehouse and finance teams to ensure accurate and timely order completion.
