VDL Enabling Technologies Group (Singapore) is seeking a Logistics Engineer to design and optimize warehouse processes, improve material flow, and ensure quality adherence across the logistics function. Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Supply Chain or Manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations planning and inventory management.
  • Proven hands-on experience with Warehouse planning tools and data analytics.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Kanban, VMI, or similar continuous improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Own warehouse quality management processes ensuring ISO 9001 and regulatory compliance.
  • Lead NCR investigations and CAPA for logistics non-conformances and discrepancies.
  • Establish and maintain warehouse quality standards for receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipment accuracy.
  • Conduct regular warehouse process and 5S audits with corrective actions.
  • Monitor and improve KPIs: inventory accuracy, storage utilization, picking productivity, dock-to-stock.
  • Evaluate and improve warehouse infrastructure, layouts, and material handling efficiency.
  • Lead layout optimization and capacity planning initiatives.

Job description

Purpose:

Responsible for designing, optimizing, logistical processes and quality adherence within the logistics department. The Logistics Engineer will develop, implement, and continuously improve warehouse processes, material flow, storage systems, inventory accuracy controls, and logistics standards to ensure operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and supply chain reliability. This role serves as the subject matter expert for warehouse operations excellence and internal logistics compliance.

Key Area of Responsibilities:
  • Own warehouse quality management processes, ensuring full compliance with ISO 9001, customer requirements, internal procedures, and applicable regulatory standards.
  • Lead investigation and resolution of logistics related non‑conformances (NCRs), customer complaints, inventory discrepancies, and process deviations using structured root cause analysis and CAPA methodologies.
  • Establish and maintain logistics quality standards covering receiving, storage, picking, packing, material handling, labeling, traceability, and shipment accuracy.
  • Conduct regular warehouse process audits, 5S audits and compliance reviews to identify gaps and implement corrective actions.
  • Establish, monitor and improve warehouse KPIs including inventory accuracy, storage utilization, picking productivity, shipment accuracy, cycle count compliance and dock‑to‑stock performance.
  • Evaluate and improve warehouse infrastructure, MHEs, storage systems and warehouse layouts to support business growth and operational efficiency.
  • Lead warehouse layout optimization, storage capacity planning, racking utilization improvement and material handling efficiency initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Supply Chain or Manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations planning and inventory management.
  • Proven hands‑on experience with Warehouse planning tools and data analytics.
  • Knowledge of MHE and warehouse racking will be an added advantage.
  • Proven experience leading a logistical team and driving improvement projects.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Kanban, VMI, or similar continuous improvement methodologies is an advantage.
