Job summary

Fortune Technology client is seeking a Software Engineer with strong localization workflow expertise in Singapore on a long-term contract. You will own localization tooling, build APIs, and drive end-to-end localization processes from extraction to release.

Role emphasizes backend development, cloud experience (AWS/Azure), and working with Phrase/Passolo. Bachelor's in CS required; 5+ years of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with localization tools and Translation Management Systems (TMS) such as Phrase, Passolo, or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end localization workflows, including content extraction, translation, review, QA, and release.
• Experience working with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Strong backend development and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical authority for localization implementation and quality standards within assigned products or content areas.
• Improve the efficiency, quality, and scalability of localization production through engineering-driven solutions.
• Provide technical guidance to suppliers and internal teams on localization tooling and implementation.
• Identify localization workflow bottlenecks and drive improvements through system enhancements and automation.
• Contribute to the evolution of shared localization tools and technical standards.
• Build and enhance integrations between product systems and localization platforms, including TMS, content repositories, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop automation for content extraction, file processing, translation handoff, validation, and testing.
• Partner closely with Localization Program Management and other technical teams to support localization decisions and quality standards.
