Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with localization tools and TMS such as Phrase or Passolo.
• Understanding of end-to-end localization workflows: extraction, translation, QA, release.
• Proficiency in Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript.
• Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
• Experience with AWS or Azure.
• Experience designing or improving automation frameworks.
• Strong backend development and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical authority for localization implementation and quality standards.
• Improve localization production efficiency, quality, and scalability through engineering solutions.
• Provide technical guidance to suppliers and internal teams on tooling.
• Identify bottlenecks and drive improvements via system enhancements and automation.
• Contribute to shared localization tools and standards.
• Build integrations between product systems and localization platforms (TMS, content repos, and CI/CD).
• Develop automation for content extraction, file processing, translation handoff, validation, and testing.
• Collaborate with Localization Program Management and other technical teams on localization decisions.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with localization tools and Translation Management Systems (TMS) such as Phrase, Passolo, or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end localization workflows, including content extraction, translation, review, QA, and release.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript.
• Experience working with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Experience designing, developing, or improving automation frameworks.
• Strong backend development and problem-solving skills.
• Bacheloru2019s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience integrating localization workflows into CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with automated linguistic QA and validation tools.
• Experience building APIs, microservices, and system integrations.
• Exposure to AI-driven translation or localization workflow automation.
