Job summary

Unknown is supporting an established energy trading company in its search for an LNG Operator. This hands-on role oversees physical LNG cargo execution and coordinates closely with commercial teams and external counterparties.

You will oversee LNG cargoes from scheduling through loading and discharge, manage notices and ETA updates, liaise with charterers, suppliers and port agents, review laytime and demurrage, and maintain deal information in the trade-support system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with 3-5 years of experience.
• Good understanding of LNG contracts, shipping operations and cargo claims.
• Strong numerical, spreadsheet, communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee LNG cargoes from scheduling through loading and discharge, including lifting plans and vessel movements.
• Manage operational notices, nominations and ETA updates in line with SPA, MSA and charter-party obligations.
• Liaise with charterers, suppliers, buyers, inspectors, expeditors and port agents to ensure smooth cargo execution.
• Review, calculate and negotiate laytime, demurrage, boil-off and gas-consumption claims.
• Coordinate monthly loading and discharge programmes and participate in reviewing term and spot contract provisions.
• Maintain accurate deal, pricing and operational information within the trade-support system.
