We are seeking a commercially oriented Analyst to join an energy-focused team in Singapore. This is an opportunity to work closely with senior stakeholders on the assessment and development of infrastructure and energy-related opportunities across international markets.
The position combines market intelligence, commercial analysis, financial modelling and project evaluation. The successful candidate will be involved across different stages of the project lifecycle, from initial opportunity assessment through to commercial development and execution.
Candidates with exposure to gas, LNG, energy infrastructure, commodities, power or related investment activities would be well suited to the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess developments across international energy and gas markets, including supply, demand, pricing and market trends.
- Conduct commercial assessments of potential infrastructure and energy opportunities.
- Develop and maintain financial models to assess project economics, costs, revenues and sensitivities.
- Evaluate commercial assumptions relating to transportation, infrastructure, supply arrangements and downstream activities.
- Contribute to feasibility assessments, business cases and investment analysis.
- Conduct market and counterparty research covering potential customers, suppliers, strategic partners and financial stakeholders.
- Prepare analysis, presentations, investment papers and other materials for internal and external discussions.
- Assist with commercial discussions, due diligence and information gathering with external stakeholders.
- Maintain project assumptions, financial outputs, development milestones and risk assessments.
- Work closely with commercial, technical and project development teams to support the progression of opportunities.
Candidate Profile
- 3-5 years of relevant professional experience within energy, gas, LNG, infrastructure, commodities, investment banking, consulting or a related sector.
- Exposure to one or more of the following would be advantageous: gas markets, LNG, terminals, floating infrastructure, energy trading, power projects or infrastructure development.
- Strong analytical capabilities with practical experience in financial modelling and commercial evaluation.
- Good understanding of energy markets, commercial structures and project economics.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Able to work with large volumes of technical and commercial information and translate findings into clear conclusions.
- Strong attention to detail with a structured and analytical approach to problem solving.
- Commercially curious, proactive and comfortable taking ownership of deliverables.
- Comfortable operating in a lean, entrepreneurial environment where responsibilities may span multiple areas.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex analysis clearly.
