Job summary

United Microelectronics Corporation (Singapore Branch) seeks a process engineer to monitor inline SPC/defects, optimize processes, and lead cross-functional improvement projects. You will establish process parameters for equipment to maintain line stability and drive technology transfer initiatives.

Candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field and at least 2 years of semiconductor foundry experience, with preference for experience at 22/28 nm and below.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in semiconductor foundry module process.
• Experience with <22/28nm and below nodes is highly desirable.
• Strong process development, optimization and troubleshooting skills.
• Proven leadership in cross-functional teams and project management.

Responsibilities

• Day to day monitoring and ownership to address inline SPC/defect/ equipment abnormalities, handling and disposition.
• Manage productivity-improvement projects, including new processes, using process analytics to improve conditions and technology.
• Establish process parameters for semiconductor equipment to ensure line stability.
• Evaluate and develop new equipment, materials, and processes.

Responsibilities

• Day to Day monitoring and ownership to timely address in-line SPC/defect/Equipment abnormality, handling and disposition


• Manage projects in productivity improvement, particularly for new processes, using process characteristic analytical tool to improve process condition and technology


• Establish process parameters for a variety of semiconductor equipment to ensure line stability


• Evaluation and development of new equipment/materials/process

Qualifications

• Minimum requirement of a Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Engineering , Electrical Electronic Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering and Physics


• Demonstrated experience of at least 2years in semiconductor foundry module process


• 22/28 nanometer and below advance technology nodes experience is highly desirable


• Strong understanding of process development, optimization and troubleshooting.


• Proven leadership skills in leading cross-functional teams and managing projects related to process improvement or technology transfer


• Ability to analyze complex process issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions


• Experience skills including SPC, 8D reporting, DOE, FMEA and PMO is preferred


• Able to commit shift work
