Job summary

UMC Singapore is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to support advanced technology nodes in a fast-paced foundry environment. You will monitor inline processes, drive stability, and collaborate with equipment and materials teams to improve yield and reduce cost.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in a relevant engineering field, has 6+ years in semiconductor fabrication, experience with 22/28nm or below, and demonstrates strong root-cause analysis, DOE/8D/FMEA, and cross-functional

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field is required.
• At least 6 years in semiconductor foundry process.
• Experience with 22/28 nm and below nodes is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of process development, optimization and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Day to day monitoring and ownership of inline SPC/defect/equipment abnormality; address and disposition.
• Lead productivity improvement projects for new processes using process characteristic analysis to improve conditions and yield.
• Establish process parameters for various semiconductor equipment to ensure line stability.
• Evaluate and develop new equipment/materials/process.

Responsibilities

• Day to Day monitoring and ownership to timely address in-line SPC/defect/Equipment abnormality, handling and disposition
• Manage projects in productivity improvement, particularly for new processes, using process characteristic analytical tool to improve process condition and technology
• Establish process parameters for a variety of semiconductor equipment to ensure line stability
• Evaluation and development of new equipment/materials/process

Qualifications

• Minimum requirement of a Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Engineering , Electrical Electronic Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering and Physics
• Demonstrated experience of at least6years in semiconductor foundry module process,
• 22/28 nanometer and below advance technology nodes experience is highly desirable
• Strong understanding of process development, optimization and troubleshooting.
• Proven leadership skills in leading cross-functional teams and managing projects related to process improvement or technology transfer
• Ability to analyze complex process issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions
• Experience skills including SPC, 8D reporting, DOE, FMEA and PMO is preferred
• Able to commit shift work
