Job summary

UNITED MICROELECTRONICS CORPORATION (SINGAPORE BRANCH) is seeking a quality-focused engineer to monitor in-line SPC and defects, ensure equipment capability, and collaborate with production and process engineers to maintain steady production.

You will participate in equipment troubleshooting, evaluate new tools or materials, and drive improvements to production quality while accepting shift work requirements.

Qualifications

• Has a Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electronic, Electrical, Chemical, Materials, Mechanical, Physics, Automation, Aerospace).
• Strong analytical abilities with critical thinking and problem-solving.
• Good communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Day to day monitoring and ownership to address in-line SPC/defect/equipment abnormalities and lot handling.
• Maintain equipment capability for production and meet production demand.
• Engage with Production line and Process Engineers to balance tool availability for production, troubleshooting and scheduled maintenance.
• Engage in Equipment troubleshooting and production quality improvement.
• Evaluation of new equipment/materials and retrofits of equipment for better efficiency and production quality.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

1. Possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in engineering in Electronic Engineering , Electrical Electronic Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering ,Physics, Automation, Aerospace Engineering
2. Able to think critically with strong analytical skills
3. Possess good communication skills and time management skills
4. Prior leadership or competition experience in school activities will be an advantage
5. Must be willing to commit shift work
6. At least 2 years with relevant working experience in semiconductor industry foundry
