Job summary

Ang Mo Kio Town Council is seeking a Lift Engineer to manage and oversee lift operations, maintenance, testing, upgrades, and regulatory compliance across AMKTC estates. The role ensures safe, reliable lift services for residents while coordinating with contractors and internal teams.

You will lead maintenance programs, track performance, and prepare technical reports to support improvements and resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience in lift and escalator maintenance, facilities management, building services or Town Council operations.
• Strong knowledge of lift systems and maintenance practices.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience managing lift contractors and maintenance contracts is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation and maintenance of all lifts within AMKTC’s jurisdiction.
• Monitor lift performance, downtime, breakdown trends, and service reliability.
• Coordinate annual lift testing, inspections, and statutory certification works.
• Supervise lift maintenance contractors and monitor their performance against KPIs and service standards.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and support regulatory audits.
• Plan and coordinate lift upgrading, modernization, and project activities.
• Investigate lift-related incidents and provide corrective actions.
