Job summary

Rainbow Center in Singapore is seeking an Assistant Life Coach to support daily programmes and activities for adults with disabilities, delivering care and enabling participation under supervision.

You will help with client engagement, maintain safety, assist with personal care, document observations, and collaborate with the life coaching team to promote wellbeing and life skills development.

Qualifications

• A recognised Higher NITEC, or Diploma in Social Services, Healthcare, Special Education, or related fields.
• Relevant training in autism, disability support, or caregiving will be an advantage.
• Relevant experience in supporting persons with disabilities, elderly persons, or individuals requiring care support will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of daily programme activities and routines as guided by Life Coaches.
• Assist clients in participating in activities that promote life skills, social interaction, and engagement.
• Provide individual support to clients during activities to encourage participation and positive behaviour.
• Support preparation and setup of programme materials, equipment, and learning spaces.
• Build positive, trusted relationships with clients to support engagement.
• Provide personal care support (e.g. feeding, toileting, mobility assistance) where required according to care plans.
• Monitor clients’ wellbeing and promptly report concerns related to health, behaviour, or safety.
• Ensure health, safety, and hygiene practices are followed during programme activities.
• Support safe transitions within the centre and during community-based activities.
• Assist in basic documentation of client participation, attendance, and daily observations as guided by Life Coaches.
• Support data collection and administrative tasks related to programme delivery.
• Ensure materials and resources are maintained and organised for daily use.
• Work collaboratively with Life Coaches, Senior Life Coaches, and multidisciplinary team members.
• Follow instructions and guidance from supervisors to ensure consistency in programme implementation.
• Participate in team meetings, briefings, and training sessions to strengthen skills and knowledge.
