Job summary

Seacare Manpower Services Pte Ltd is seeking a Library Materials Handler to validate delivered items, process materials, paste barcodes, and inventory records. You will shelve, retrieve, and data-enter selection forms, ensuring accurate item records and proper handover to downstream processes.

The role requires basic IT skills, comfort with handling library materials, and a teamwork mindset. Working hours are 8.00am–5.00pm, including weekends, for a 3-month period with potential extension into

Qualifications

• GCE 'O' Level or GCE 'N' Level with a pass in English.
• Basic computer and IT knowledge, including familiarity with Microsoft Office.
• Comfortable handling and carrying library materials.
• Able to meet required work output and work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Validate received library materials against delivery orders and check that materials are in good condition.
• Process library materials, including pasting barcodes, inventorying items into the tracking system and creating item records.
• Shelve and retrieve books between bins and shelves.
• Check item records and perform data entry of selection forms and library system records.
• Sort and process physical materials for handover to the next process owners according to established guidelines.
• Assist with general administrative and operational support as assigned.
• Assist with transportation of materials when required.
• Receive and process approximately 800 volumes of purchased library items per day.
