Job summary

Murata Electronics Singapore (Pte) Ltd is seeking a senior engineer to drive improvement and corrective maintenance for Li-Ion battery manufacturing equipment. The role requires coordinating with Japan-based teams and leading cost-down activities to improve reliability.

The candidate will organize technical training, serve as the primary contact for overseas affiliates, and bring strong engineering expertise and project-management skills to the Front Process Maintenance department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in engineering (manufacturing, mechanical, electrical/electronic, industrial, mechatronics) required.
• At least 7 years of experience in electronics manufacturing.
• Business-level proficiency in Japanese and English required.

Responsibilities

• Lead Corrective Maintenance Projects
• Lead cost down activities
• Serve as the key point of contact to coordinate with overseas affiliates
• Provide technical expertise in liquid cell process / materials / equipment
• Improve reliability of Li-Ion manufacturing equipment through rationalization activities
• Serve as liaison between Murata Singapore and Japan factories for knowledge transfer
• Organize and provide technical training to local engineers
